copenhagen days Sunday, January 3, 2010

ok.. since i am free now, shall make a note on how i spent my past 3 days in copenhagen. walking a lot a lot despite damn cold. i think i am amazed at myself. HAHAS. i think i will whine and whine and whine if i had gone with my fam instead. i guess this trip will really make a different in my life =)

let's hope so! its only the first 3 days.

firstly, i just have to say this... DANISH PEOPLE... are
1) Friendly
2) TALL ( i feel so NORMAL over here! )
3) cute (HAHA)

I dun't think Singaporeans will ever bring their kids to the road just to look at cars and then talk to people who are asking the way like they are friends!
Singaporeans will not ask people if they are lost or smile without reason.
Well... i didnt get a culture shock over here cos i suppose.. they r really wonderful people!

ok. enough of diverting. DAY 1
landed at about 7.16am in the kastrup airport
met up with John's super FAB mentor, nina and she brought us all the way to our hotel!
but the journey to the hotel was torturous.
my luggage's wheels werent working properly and the roads weren't really flat... so i really had trouble dragging my luggage.
and guess wad.. we walked for a good HALF AN HOUR! dragging lousy and heavy luggages, carrying an oversized bag pack and it was -3 degree celcius! MY GOD! aint i amazing? hahas!
it doesnt stop here!
when we finally reached the hotel all SHAG! the reception told us the room aint ready and check in is at 2pm! it was only 10am when we reached the hotel!
so we deposited our baggages there and went WALKING around the area for a good 4 hours.
seriously... i missed the weather in singapore as i was walking. HAHAS

we didnt do much.
simply really walking around, getting to know the place
and then ending our walking trip by visiting the MERMAID!
i actually visited the mermaid on my first day in copenhagen. HAHAS.
so actually. i can alr tell people tt i have been there, done tt!
the mermaid is really over-rated. its so small and its JUST A STATUE!
i think people will still visit it cos its like the TRADEMARK. but i think its really over rated.
luckily we didnt have to pay any money to see it... or i will curseeee!
and singapore's merlion is so much more worth it if we have to pay =X

so we checked into our rm after visiting the mermaid!
the rm is AWESOME!
it has DRYER, WASHING MACHINE, DISH WASHER, OVEN, MICROWAVE, A WHOLE SELECTION OF CUTLERIES! hahas.
not forgetting the comfy beds with super fluffy comforters!

the most interesting thing actually happened in the night!
the 3 of us initially planned to take a train down to the city to celebrate and countdown to 2010!
but then... due to jet lag, we OVERSLPT and woke up at 12mn instead! hahas.
ok. kinda a pity but then! we didnt miss out on their traditions i think
there was FIREWORKS EVERYWHERE! and i seriously mean everywhere.
we were surrounded by fireworks as every household release fireworks to celebrate the new year. DAMN AWESOME CAN!
so tts how i spent my first day in copenhagen and my first moments of 2010. HAHAS!

WAD A MEMORABLE WAY!
